Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups of all purpose flour
1/2 cup of sugar (plus extra for coating)
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 cup of shortening
1/2 cup of peanut butter
2 tablespoons of milk
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1 egg
1 bag of Hershey kisses
Step 1:
Heat oven to 375 degrees. In a large bowl, combine together flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, shortening, peanut butter, milk, vanilla, and the egg and mix with electric mixer on low speed until stiff dough forms.
Step 2:
Shape dough into 1 inch balls and roll them into sugar. Place 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking pan.
Step 3:
Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately top each cookie with a Hershey kiss; pressing down firmly so the edge of the cookie cracks.
