The CRHS Unified Sports team will take on Middletown High School at the annual Wilda Castro Memorial Basketball Game on Feb. 5 during Coginchaug’s period four (10:05-11:12 a.m.) in the gymnasium. During halftime, Strong and Memorial Unified Sports teams will participate in relay races.
The event will feature Beau Doherty, creator of the Unified Sports model and current CT Special Olympics President, who will give a few words before tip-off. Also making special appearances are various Unified Sports and Special Olympics staff:

Others from CAS/CIAC and Special Olympics
Coginchaug students, with permission from their period four teacher, are encouraged to come enjoy the game and support the Unified Sports team. The event will be live-streamed for the public (YouTube link should be forthcoming).
