Current Unaffiliated Board of Education member, Richard Andrew Taylor, defeated challenger Cindi Faiella Kenyon on Monday’s town meeting held at Coginchaug Regional High School.

Hundreds of Durham town residents lined up outside and entered CRHS’s Julian B. Thayer Auditorium to elect by paper a candidate to fill a six-month term on Regional School District 13 Board of Education.

Taylor won 93 votes while Mrs. Kenyon won 45, making Taylor the chosen winner.

Mr. Taylor’s seat will be up for re-election again this December due to previous town charter revisions.
