Coginchaug Regional High School principal Matthew Warner resigned last night, according to a statement released by Superintendent Dr. Doug Schuch.

“I am saddened to depart this close-knit community as I enjoyed working with the students, staff, and parents of CRHS,” he wrote.

Warner was put on administrative leave on March 18th, put by the administration as a “personnel matter.”

Warner became principal in 2021 after Brian Falcone left to take the role as superintendent of Plymouth Public Schools.

Mrs. Debra Stone, the principal at Memorial Middle School, will serve as the interim Principal of Coginchaug until a replacement is decided upon, the process for which has already begun. Mrs. Samantha Winkler, program coordinator at the Middlesex Transition Academy, will serve as the interim principal of Memorial.
