Mrs. Norrie is one of the new teachers in the English department. Even though this is her first year in the school, she has been teaching for seven years. Before she started teaching, she worked for a phone company, but after her daughters were born, she left the company to work for a real estate agency. As a parent in her school district, she liked helping her daughters with their homework, so she decided she wanted to go to college to become a high school teacher. When asked about what she likes about Coginchaug she said, “The people are so nice, the town is beautiful, and I only have to drive 25 minutes to come here instead of how I had to drive 45 minutes to my old school.” Outside of teaching, she is an avid gardener and likes to bake (not cook though!).
