On Friday, Oct. 16, the Coginchaug National Honor Society hosted the second annual bonfire. After listening to last year’s complaints of the bitter cold and the fire being too far away, the bonfire was gated near enough for students to keep warm. Concessions such as chips, cupcakes, hot dogs, and hot chocolate were sold. The Durham-Middlefield Volunteer Fire Department assisted with setting the fire, maintaining the fire, and putting it out. With raffles and games, the bonfire was much more popular than last year.
** A special thank you to the Durham-Middlefield Fire Department for starting the fire and putting it out!
