On Monday, Feb. 22, the Latin V class along with UConn Drawing class took a trip to New York City to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art. While at the museum, the students explored the different galleries exhibiting different art styles. The Latin students started by viewing ancient Greek and Roman sculptures whereas the UConn Drawing students did critiques of French Impressionism paintings. After lunch, the students were then allowed to explore the museum in its entirety. Many students viewed the Egyptian gallery as well as the Medieval Warfare, Asian Garden, and American History galleries.
