Charlotte: “The most challenging part about pottery class is trying to get the clay centered. That has been pretty difficult but with a little practice I’m sure it will get easier.”

Students who are enrolled in ceramics and pottery classes at Coginchaug have just started their unit where they are learning and experimenting with the spinning wheels. In order to come out with these amazing end pieces (shown above) there is a lot of hard work and dedication that needs to be executed.

“Students in pottery class really fined a unique voice in the medium. There are so many different techniques in ceramics to suit one’s sensibility. Pottery is a tremendous outlet for creativity and expression.” -Mr. Ryan Bothamley
