This new school year has brought on many changes. One of those many changes was getting a new Spanish teacher, Ms. Kayte Wheeler.

Wheeler, who is from Litchfield, Connecticut, went to college at Central Connecticut State University and the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She taught for eight years at North Brunswick High School in Leland, North Carolina. The school she taught at was much different than Coginchaug. They had four 100-minute classes. They had no study halls, and language classes were only taught for half a year.

“It was different there than here at Coginchaug,” Wheeler stated. “I’m just super excited to be home in Connecticut and to be at Coginchaug.

Now she has returned to Connecticut and is ready to start a new chapter. Mrs. Wheeler looks to have a great career teaching kids.
