In Nov. 2014, Durham Middlefield Local Wellness Coalition and CRHS’s club Excellent Decisions Guiding Everyday were highlighted in the National Institute on Drug Abuse Newsletter.
Stephanie Moran, DMLWC Prevention Coordinator, said, “This is AMAZING, and we should be incredibly proud! I am so excited that the work of our coalition and our youth has been shared by a national organization – to millions of other coalitions across the United States.”
The newsletter explains that DMLWC and EDGE have participated in National Drug Facts Week for two years. It includes detail on how they prepared for National Drug Facts Week, as well as a Public Service Announcement which involves over 30 students highlighting their opinions on drug abuse and how using drugs would affect their future.
