Senior day for the Coginchaug girls soccer team took place Oct. 21. The seniors were honored on the field for their dedication to the team by being called up to the fifty-yard line along with their parents. Audrey Acari, Clarissa Backus, Janelle Berry, Jenn Crandall, Lena Huntington, Naomi Rinaldo, Mackenzie Rulnick, Hayley Quirk, Melissa Vynalek, and Mikayla Wyskiel were all honored. The announcer honored the opposing Valley Regional Warriors seniors as well. Coginchaug won the game 1-0 with the only goal scored by senior Jenn Crandall.

Boys soccer seniors Tyler Crisp, Garrett D’Amato, Jacob Burt, and Zachary Taylor were honored at their senior night Oct. 21. Not to mention the senior captains, Tyler Crisp, Garrett D’amato, and Zachary Taylor.

Outside defender Jacob Burt who is a senior said, “I think the captains have done a great job. They’re very personable and down to earth.”

After a tough game against Cromwell, Coginchaug lost 0-5.
