Mr. Forline is a new teacher to Coginchaug. Although he has been in the district for a while, this is his first year at Coginchaug teaching art. Mr. Forline began his 36 years of teaching at Old Saybrook High School. Before his teaching years began, he had a job landscaping because he liked to work outside. Mr. Forline chose to be a teacher because it combined a lot of what he likes, such as coaching and being an artist. “Now as a teacher, I can get to know the kids I coach on a more personal level and really get to see how they are as people and not just athletes,” he said. Mr. Forline’s favorite thing about Coginchaug is that it’s a nice school, and he enjoys being here.
