Delicious, but It’s Healthy

 

  If you’re looking for a snack that is equally delicious but healthy, then you came to the right place. Here are some great healthy snacks you can try. 

 

Chocolate Banana Bites

   Ingredients:

  • 3 bananas (sliced)
  • ¼ cup of peanut butter
  • 1 package of dark chocolate chips
  • 2 tsp. of coconut oil

 

  Steps:

  1. Slice the bananas into rounds about ¼ inch thick 
  2. Put down parchment paper onto a freezer-safe tray or plate 
  3. Spread peanut butter onto one banana slice and take another slice and put it on top; it should look like a banana sandwich
  4. Do this until all your banana slices are used
  5. Place the banana bites into the freezer for 20 minutes so they can harden a bit
  6. Place a handful of the dark chocolate chips and 2 tsp of coconut oil into a bowl, and put it in the microwave for one minute
  7. Stir the mixture, and put it in the microwave for another 30 seconds 
  8. Continue microwaving for 30 seconds at a time until the chocolate is melted through
  9. Take out your banana bites from the freezer and begin dipping half the bite into the chocolate and place it back on the tray
  10. Place the bites back into the freezer for 15 minutes 
  11. Take the banana bites out and enjoy

Zucchini Pizza Bites

 

  Ingredients:

  • 1 zucchini 
  • One package of sliced mozzarella
  • 1 cup of tomato sauce
  • Garlic powder 
  • Canola oil

 

  Steps:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Slice the zucchini into rounds about a ½ inch thick 
  3. Place parchment paper down onto a tray
  4. Place the zucchini slices onto the tray 
  5. Brush canola oil or any cooking oil onto the slices of zucchini
  6. Sprinkle garlic powder on all the zucchini slices 
  7. Place the tray of zucchini into the oven for 5 minutes
  8. Take out the tray of zucchini and begin putting a small amount of sauce onto each zucchini slice
  9. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella onto each slice of zucchini
  10. Place the tray into the oven for 6 minutes
  11. Take out the tray and let the slices cool for about 2 minutes
  12. Enjoy

 

Strawberry Yogurt Bark

  Ingredients:

  • 3 small containers of vanilla yogurt or low fat yogurt
  • 5 strawberries, cleaned and sliced
  • 3 strawberries pureed 
  • 8” Baking pan
  • Wax paper

 

  Steps:

  1. Wash all the strawberries and slice off the stems
  2. Mix 3 strawberries to puree them
  3. Mix the puree with your yogurt until it becomes a pink color
  4. Lay a piece of wax paper onto the pan
  5. Spread the yogurt mixture onto the wax paper
  6. Slice the rest of your strawberries and place them all on top of your yogurt; spread them out
  7. Place the pan into the freezer for at least 4 hours 
  8. Take the pan out and break the yogurt into pieces and enjoy
